Dominion Status - Bio

Whenever one thinks of taking a vacation, the first thing that comes to mind, is probably a tropical Island somewhere beyond the setting sun. However, the best vacations are the ones that are fun, whatever format they might take, be it an enchanted journey to a Tropical Island paradise, a Wonderful Winter Wonderland retreat, or a good old trip to La La Land! When ingesting the Dominion Status vibe, serendipity elucidates you, like a stage curtain being drawn to reveal unexpectedly, an aggressive, eager audience. One suddenly realizes that the musical experience is not only overwhelmingly palatable to the ear, but also to the soul. Like the enchanting sips of a Pina Colada on a sunny, indigenous beach resort, it propels you to understand the intense frigidity of profound contemplation , and the absolute pleasure of reckless abandon. In that it takes you on an eternal cruise, an intrepid musical voyage that explores almost every aspect of the human emotional dilemma. It is the apotheosis of intimate expression.

The productive collaboration of Dereck Blackman,(Originally from The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago) and Josh Schreiber, integrated with the musical expertise f John McKnight, has succeeded in putting together some of the most impressive independent releases in their genre. Their freshman effort entitled " The Blame Game" (on vanity label, Bamboo Grove Records) has impressed even some of the most pedantic critics in the business. Eventually landing them a nomination in the 2003 Orange County Music Awards. Deciding not to rest on their laurels, Dominion Status has embarked on another quest. They've retreated to the studio. The mission is to record their sophomore effort, entitled "ORGONON"which is going to be available by spring of 2005. The new CD promises to deliver a defining punch to your musical appetite.
